Polly at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, NM, December 2019

I am an artist in Austin, Texas. I started making art in childhood (no scrap of paper was safe from my doodles). Art played a large part of my life through adolescence, but I didn’t consider the possibility of a career as a fine artist.

Then, during my freshman year at Austin College (not in Austin), I had the privilege to take a month-long intensive drawing and painting course at Ghost Ranch. Ghost Ranch is located in Abiquiu, New Mexico and is the place where artist Georgia O’Keefe spent many years painting the landscape. I was hooked.

The vibrant colors of the mesas, otherworldly geologic formations, and gnarly old juniper trees were more than enough to thrill my artistic imagination. I came back to school determined to study art, and so I did.

Since then, my life and career have taken me in different direction—always with a bent towards the creative. But I have only recently returned to landscape painting as a way to express myself and share my creative passion with others. Again, I have Ghost Ranch to thank for that inspiration. I visited the ranch again in December 2019 and it re-ignited my drive to paint. My New Mexico Collection is a result of that energy and excitement. It is a privilege to share my art with you.
